5G traffic grew by almost 80% in the third quarter of 2025
Mobile broadband traffic using 5G technology grew by 79.6% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025 and now accounts for 20% of the total, according to the latest data from the Spanish National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC). In total, mobile traffic reached 2.7 million terabytes, representing a 19.7% increase compared to the same quarter of 2024.
